I am knitting my second pair of socks, and this time I decided to have them close to each other in amount knitted, so I put sock #1 down and started working on sock #2. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I have had to rip out the heel of sock #2 about 3 times. First I had followed directions from another source and had done slip and knit the rest of the row instead of slip/knit/slip/knit. (Same for the pearl row). Then I had the wrong amount of stitches. So here is what it looks like - the color is most accurately reflected in the ball on the right.
I am taking it slow (to quote my Dad) because I have "trigger finger" - middle finger, right hand hurts when I bend it. Mine isn't too bad, and I hope it doesn't get worse. I don't think it's hereditary, but my mom also has it (different finger). I don't think knitting is making it worse, but everyone else does. I don't use that finger to knit, but apparently I use it for everything else, especially typing on my keyboard and driving.
